Tunas Industrial Estate is seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Supervisor to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of the wastewater treatment facilities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, optimize plant operations, supervise the WWTP team, and maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
- Ensure treated wastewater complies with Indonesian environmental regulations and discharge standards.
- Monitor WWTP processes, equipment performance, and treatment efficiency.
- Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for WWTP equipment.
- Supervise WWTP operators and technicians, including scheduling and performance evaluation.
- Monitor chemical dosing, sludge management, and laboratory testing results.
- Conduct routine inspections of pumps, blowers, piping systems, tanks, and treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring activities and ensure accurate operational records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate with Environmental, Utility, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support plant operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum **3 years** of experience operating or supervising a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial estates, utilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Biological Wastewater Treatment
- Chemical Treatment Processes
- Physical Treatment Systems
- Sludge Handling
- Water Quality Analysis
- Environmental Compliance
- Familiar with wastewater discharge regulations and environmental permitting.
- Knowledge of pumps, blowers, valves, instrumentation, and process control systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Willing to be based in Batam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified POPAL (Person in Charge of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations) is highly preferred.
- Experience implementing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, and automated utility systems is an advantage.
- Familiar with laboratory testing and wastewater quality monitoring.
- Experience working in industrial estates or manufacturing companies is preferred.
