About the Role
Mahatma Gandhi School is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons, fostering students' language proficiency, and creating a positive learning environment that supports academic excellence and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and reports.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
Participate in school events, meetings, professional development programs, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and student achievement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in English Education, English Literature, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (experience in an international school is an advantage).
Familiarity with international curricula (Cambridge, IB, or similar) is preferred.
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passionate about teaching and committed to continuous professional development.
Able to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Available to join immediately (ASAP) is highly preferred.
