Job Description:
A Buyer will responsible for researching, selecting and procuring products for the NIKE Brand. You will work with all NIKE Stores under PT. Giordano Indonesia and play a large role in distribution of goods to each shop. As part of their job, a Buyer sometimes oversees a company’s shipping and receiving departments. Decision making, good at analyzing, and planning are key aspects of your Buyer’s job.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You must stay abreast of current and future trends and use the internet to support your duties. You must also conduct research in order to make their purchases, this may include analyzing sales trend, conducting consumer opinion survey.
Once products are ordered, you are tasked with monitoring the progress of their orders and ensuring they arrive on time, in the right quantities and make sure the products meet the given standards. Additionally, you will be monitoring sales and inventory within the stores. Some store visit and traveling will be required to support your duties.
As a Buyer, is important for you to foster positive relations and teamwork with your colleagues.
Skills:
We are looking at self-motivated individuals with analytical minds, vocal, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well with limited supervision. You should also be detail-oriented and work well in fast-pace environments.
Core Skills and focus:
Understand the buying process.
Fluent in English
Proficient in common computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of apparel and footwear
Bachelor Degree or extensive background in retail
At least 2 years’ experience as a junior Buyer or Buyer position
Ability to travel within the country as well as overseas
Exercise sports and likes things related to sports
Placement will be in our main office at Kelapa Gading (north Jakarta).
