The AI Engineer [gn] (Agentic AI & Automation) role at Actian is curated from Jobicy (category Teknologi & IT). This role is marked as remote — check timezone and location requirements on the official listing. Yukerja.com is not the employer — applications are handled on the official source site.

Actian is a global leader in hybrid data management and high-performance cloud warehousing. Our platforms serve as the backbone for mission-critical operations at world-class organizations like Bloomberg, Intuit, Lufthansa, and Citibank. We are fundamentally re-architecting how we build software by moving into Agentic AI-driven engineering. We need an expert in autonomy.

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on AI Engineer who lives and breathes Agentic AI and automation. Your core mission is to build systems where AI doesn't just answer questions, but actually acts—planning tasks, using external tools, writing code, and automating complex engineering workflows. You will focus heavily on optimizing our internal software development lifecycle (SDLC) and embedding autonomous agents into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform to automate testing, coding, and incident response. If you are obsessed with making AI do actual, autonomous work, this is your role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Autonomous Agent Architecture: Design and build multi-agent AI systems capable of self-planning, reflection, and executing complex, multi-step workflows without human intervention.

  • AI-Driven Coding Automation: Build and integrate advanced AI coding agents into our internal SDLC to automate code generation, script refactoring, and automated code reviews.

  • Intelligent Test Automation: Develop AI agents that can look at code changes, understand the context, and automatically generate, run, and fix integration and end-to-end tests.

  • Automated Incident Triage: Build agentic workflows that monitor production logs, identify platform anomalies, and autonomously execute initial triage, root-cause analysis, and patch recommendations.

  • Tool & API Integration for Agents: Create robust function-calling architectures and tool-use layers, allowing AI agents to securely interact with our databases, APIs, and git repositories.

  • Agent State and Memory Management: Implement advanced state machines and memory persistence frameworks to ensure agents maintain context and recover gracefully during long-running tasks.

  • Safety & Execution Guardrails: Build strict deterministic guardrails around autonomous agents to prevent infinite loops, toxic outputs, or unauthorized code execution in production environments.

  • Rapid Automation Prototyping: Constantly identify manual bottlenecks in engineering and product operations, building quick agentic prototypes to automate them away entirely.

Qualifications & Profile:

  • Technical Background: Strong software engineering roots (Python, Go, or Java) with a massive pivot into agentic frameworks and autonomous software systems.

  • Agentic Framework Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience building with advanced agent frameworks (such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom-built agent loops). You must deeply understand concepts like ReAct, Plan-and-Solve, and multi-agent collaboration.

  • AI Coding Power-User: You have a proven track record of using and building custom AI development tools. You know how to maximize developer velocity using advanced prompting, repository-level context indexing, and automated workflows.

  • Obsession with Automation: You hate repetitive tasks. Your first instinct when seeing a manual engineering process (like writing test cases or triaging logs) is to build an AI agent to do it for you.

  • Pragmatic Builder: You care about execution and reliability. You know how to make inherently non-deterministic agents behave reliably in an enterprise software environment.

  • Communication: Exceptional English skills (written and spoken) to collaborate with engineering teams and show them how to adopt your automation tools.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to be part of an innovative, fast-growing company making a significant impact in the data management space.
  • Collaboration with a passionate and diverse team.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Flexible work arrangements (remote or hybrid).
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
