Sr. Interior Designer

About the role

PT Avip Interiors is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our creative team in West Jakarta. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead design projects and contribute to the strategic direction of our interior design services. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for overseeing complex projects from conception through completion, collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver exceptional interior design solutions. This role is pivotal in establishing PT AVIP Interiors as a leading design practice, combining creative vision with practical project management expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Design Development: Create, sketch, and edit preliminary design plans, including 2D/3D layouts and 3D modeling using tools like AutoCAD and SketchUp.

• Planning How the Space Will Be Used (Space Planning) using tools AutoCAD

• Creating a Design Idea (Concept Development) Create, sketch, and edit preliminary design plans

• Material Selection: Source and select materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes (flooring, paint, textiles and others).

• Making 3D Models using tools Enscape and SketchUp.

• To communicate with client to get design and materials approval

• Checking and approve Technical Drawings

• Supervising the Work On-Site

• Consultation & Planning: Analyze client needs to determine project goals and budgets.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs conform to building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.

• Client Presentation: Prepare mood boards and presentations to communicate design concepts.

• To co-ordinate technical drawings with the factory and conduct mock-up inspections for furniture production.

• Delegate work to team members of interior designers as a Lead designer.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related design discipline

• Minimum 8+ years of professional interior design experiences in commercial sectors, with proven expertise in leading design projects

• Advanced proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit and 3D rendering tools

• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and accessibility standards

• Demonstrated company portfolio completed projects in commercial sectors

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities to articulate design concepts effectively to diverse audiences

• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furnishings and current interior design trends

• Problem-Solving and Flexibility

• Creativity: Strong artistic skills, color knowledge, and spatial awareness.

• Leadership skills and experience mentoring team members

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Preferred: Experience with sustainable design practices and or equivalent certification
