About the Role:
The Spa Supervisor/Trainer is responsible for overseeing daily spa operations, ensuring consistent service quality, and providing ongoing training to all spa therapists. This role requires strong leadership, technical spa expertise, and a high commitment to guest satisfaction and brand standards. You will act as a bridge between management and the spa team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and continuous staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
Spa Operations Supervision
- Oversee daily spa operations to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
- Manage therapist schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all spa areas at all times.
- Monitor product usage, inventory levels, and handle ordering as needed
Guest Experience Management
- Welcome guests and ensure they receive exceptional service.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure all therapists consistently follow service standards and SOPs.
Training & Staff Development
- Conduct technical training, including massage techniques and body treatments.
- Provide training on soft skills: communication, hospitality, grooming, and service excellence.
- Perform regular skill assessments and provide coaching for improvement.
- Develop new training materials according to operational needs and current industry trends.
Quality Control & Standard Enforcement
- Conduct regular service quality audits to ensure SOP compliance.
- Ensure every treatment is performed according to brand standards and product guidelines.
- Perform treatment demonstrations and role-plays to maintain consistent techniques.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily operational reports, including treatment occupancy, guest feedback, and staff performance.
- Manage attendance, discipline, and performance reviews of the spa team.
- Provide recommendations for operational improvements and training needs.
Leadership & Coordination
- Motivate, guide, and support the spa team to achieve high performance.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, work ethics, and service excellence.
- Coordinate with management, housekeeping, and front office to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Spa Therapist in a spa, hotel, or wellness center.
- Certified in massage therapy and/or beauty therapy (e.g., reflexology, Swedish, Balinese, aromatherapy, etc.).
- Good understanding of human anatomy, body systems, and skincare.
- Familiar with spa hygiene protocols and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic English communication skills (other languages are a plus, depending on guest profile).
