A Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across multiple technical disciplines to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
A Multi-Skilled Technician performs a wide range of technical tasks across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronic systems. Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend operational life
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems, including PLCs and VFDs
- Performing repairs and modifications on equipment, including overhauling gearboxes, pumps, motors, and other critical components
- Installing, commissioning, and testing new machinery or systems to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and inventory using CMMS or similar systems
- Responding promptly to emergency breakdowns and providing technical support to junior technicians
- Collaborating with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and implement upgrades
