About the role
Arke Studio is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic creative team based in Bali.
Preferably someone that has beeb working for interior only.
This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual and functional spaces we create for our clients. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading design projects from conception through to completion, mentoring junior designers, and establishing the creative direction that defines Arke Studio's reputation for excellence in interior design. This role is essential to our business, as you will be at the forefront of delivering innovative, bespoke interior solutions that exceed client expectations and reflect our commitment to quality craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Key responsibilities
Lead the design process for interior projects, from initial concept development through to final installation, ensuring all designs meet client requirements and brand standards
Develop detailed design proposals, including mood boards, floor plans, 3D visualisations, and material specifications
Conduct client consultations to understand project objectives, preferences, budgets and timelines
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and quality outcomes
Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on-time delivery
Select and source appropriate materials, furnishings, finishes and décor elements that align with project briefs
Mentor and supervise junior design staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional development
Stay current with interior design trends, sustainable practices and emerging technologies in the industry
Prepare comprehensive project documentation and maintain detailed records of design decisions and specifications
Conduct site visits and inspections to oversee installation quality and resolve any design implementation issues
What we're looking for
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as senior interior design, with a substantial portfolio demonstrating expertise across residential, commercial or hospitality projects
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage design teams and mentor junior staff members
Advanced proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D visualisation tools
Strong understanding of spatial planning, colour theory, lighting design, materials and sustainable design principles
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
Knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety standards relevant to interior design in Bali and Indonesia
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, bespoke design solutions
Project management expertise, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality standards
A relevant design qualification or diploma from an accredited interior design school or institute
Experience sourcing materials and working with local artisans and suppliers is highly valued
Familiarity with Balinese design aesthetics and cultural sensitivities would be advantageous
