PURCHASING MANAGER

Job Description:

• Sourcing the materials for the garment industry (trims & packaging) and developing suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate agreements and pricing with suppliers.
• Monitoring and developing the staff below in a timely manner, providing guidance and support to achieve the goals.
• Creating Bill of Materials  and actualization of materials consumption once order completed 
• Helping Production team in finding subcontract to support order completion 
• Identify situations in advance where procurement involvement can increase.
• Develop a sourcing plan for both for local and international sources, so that fast and effectively sourcing operations are possible
• Perform an analysis Monthly forecasting report to ensure and maintain acceptable inventory level.
• Work closely with the Development Department in  executing new product development; develop and implement quality specifications during trial productions and beyond.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Have a good knowledge in garment manufacturing materials, such as: hang tag, yarn, packaging, button, zipper, etc.
• Ability to work with various levels of the supplier from the local and international market.
• Should have adequate skills to develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for the company.
• Excellent teamwork skills and proven aptitude to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (i.e., top management, colleagues, suppliers, and internal/external customers).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
