Candidate Qualification
Degree holder in Accounting or related discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in an accounting role as well as corporate finance.
Must have prior working experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in upstream operations or companies operating under PSC schemes.
Experience in creation of setting up and developing an accounting system, including establishing tax management and accounting records.
Strong experience with corporate tax compliance.
Experience with tax preparation and reporting.
Familiarity with PSC (Production Sharing Contract) Accounting and understanding of upstream oil & gas financial reporting requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and maintain accounting records in compliance with PSC (Production Sharing Contract) requirements and applicable upstream Oil & Gas regulations.
Ensure all financial reporting and accounting processes comply with SKK Migas regulations, government requirements, and internal policies.
Prepare and submit financial reports, cost recovery reports, AFE (Authorization for Expenditure), WP&B (Work Program & Budget), and other required reports to SKK Migas in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and reconcile cost recovery / non-cost recovery expenditures in accordance with PSC guidelines.
Support audit processes related to SKK Migas, joint venture partners, external auditors, and government institutions.
Ensure proper recording and allocation of exploration, development, and production costs based on PSC accounting principles.
Coordinate with operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure expenditures are properly documented and aligned with approved WP&B and AFE.
Assist in handling accounting and financial matters related to lifting, entitlement, revenue recognition, depreciation of oil & gas assets, and asset retirement obligations (ARO).
