Job Description – Cook
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and portion control.
Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, measuring, and storing them properly.
Monitor food quality and report any issues related to ingredients or supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the HOD.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or HOD.
Requirements
Minimum high school or vocational school graduate, preferably in Culinary or Hospitality.
Previous experience as a Cook is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and kitchen hygiene.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
