Pre-sales Engineer for Security Access Control

About the role

PT Technet Vision Indonesia is seeking a Pre-sales Engineer for Security Access Control to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta Timur, Jakarta Raya. As a Pre-sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our clients' security needs and our innovative access control solutions. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, demonstrating our technology capabilities, and providing technical guidance throughout the sales process. This position is integral to driving our business growth and establishing strong relationships with prospective clients in the security technology sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct technical assessments and site surveys to understand client security requirements and infrastructure

2. Develop customised solutions and technical proposals tailored to client specifications and budgets

3. Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders

4. Provide technical support during the sales process, addressing client queries and concerns

5. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities and accelerate the sales cycle

6. Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and system designs for proposed solutions

7. Conduct training sessions for clients on access control systems and security best practices

8. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging security technologies

9. Support the development of technical marketing materials and case studies

10. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field

2. 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical support role within the IT security sector

3. Strong technical knowledge of access control systems, security technologies, and network infrastructure

4. Proven ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences

5. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

6. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking

7. Experience with security assessment methodologies and risk analysis

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

9. Understanding of security compliance standards and regulations (such as ISO 27001) is advantageous

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

11. Professional certification in IT security systems is preferred

12. Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are beneficial
