Job description
We are seeking a diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented Collection Officer to join our finance team. In this role, your primary focus will be managing accounts receivable, reaching out to clients, and ensuring timely collections. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a firm yet professional demeanor, and a solid foundation in basic accounting principles to support our day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collections & Client Outreach: Conduct daily outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups with clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Account Monitoring: Monitor aging accounts receivable reports regularly to identify overdue invoices.
- Accounting & Administrative Support:
- Post and reconcile daily collections and payments against customer accounts.
- Assist the accounting team with month-end closing procedures, data entry, and basic financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle stressful situations with a calm and professional attitude.
