Our client is a Japanese Manufacturing company. Currently, they are looking for EXIM Purchasing Staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable delivery terms, and product quality
Create, issue, and monitor Purchase Orders through the procurement system
Monitor material pricing, freight costs, and currency exchange rates to ensure cost-effective purchasing
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors
Procure specialized automotive materials according to technical specifications
Prepare, verify, and process import and export documentation, including Bill of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (COO)
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth customs clearance and shipment execution
Arrange international and domestic transportation while monitoring shipment progress
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, duties, HS Codes, and import/export laws
Coordinate with warehouse teams and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and maintain optimal inventory levels
Investigate and resolve shipment delays, damaged goods, and discrepancies between ordered and delivered quantities
Other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
Necessary Skill / Experience
Bachelor's degree from Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Business level of English
Have 3 years of experience as EXIM & Purchasing in Japanese Automotive Manufacturing companies
Proven experience in EXIM procedures, Customs regulations, HS Codes, making of B/L, Certificate of origin and coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers
Familiarity with procurement systems and Purchase Order management
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
Preferable Skill/ Experience
Own PPJK certification
