About the role
PT. VVF Indonesia is seeking a skilled and dedicated Chemist (QA-QC) to join PT. VVF Indonesia. This is a contract position based in Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards through comprehensive chemical analysis, testing, and validation. The Chemist (QA-QC) plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our products and protecting our customers by conducting through laboratory testing and documentation. This position is essential to our operations and directly contributes to our commitment to excellence and compliance with industry regulations.
Key responsibilities
Check Quality sample of incoming material, in process, finish good and utility.
Check cleanliness of tanker, isotank, and storage tank before loading and store the product.
Prepare and standardise Chemical solutions and reagents according to specified formulations and quality standards
Document all test results accurately and maintain detailed laboratory records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Responsible in maintaining sufficiency inventory of laboratory and always record at log book& list of laboratory supplies.
Participant actively in developing a better Laboratory operations on aspects of accuracy, speed, safety and cost saving.
Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations within the laboratory environment
Attaching label to the iso tank and containers during shipment activities
Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
What we're looking for
Minimum D3/Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific and similar degree which related fields.
Minimum 1 year of practical experience in a QA-QC laboratory Oleochemical Industry and have knowledge of technical aspects and sample utilization processes.
Excellent understanding of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
Competency in chemical analysis, result interpretation, and data evaluation.
Strong attention to detail with meticulous documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
