Job Summary
BIASA is seeking a Senior Purchasing who is highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented to manage and support procurement activities. This role requires someone who is not only experienced in purchasing and supplier management, but also able to understand business needs and ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement of goods and services for manufacturing, retail, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Vendor sourcing and prequalification following business needs.
• Vendor Evaluation and Selection.
• Coordinate with HR for any agreement required with vendor
• Follow the request for Quotation (RFQ) Process.
• Ensure purchase requisition form with details such as item description, quantity, budget code, and preferred supplier (if applicable).
• Follow up purchase order approval to the related department head
• Sending approved PO to Vendor and communicate on regular basis for delivery progress update
• Collect and submit invoices to accounting for payment approval.
• Upon receiving the goods/material, inspect them for quality and accuracy against the PO and sample approved if any.
• Record receipt in the system and notify the relevant department.
• Any discrepancies (damages, incorrect items) must be documented and communicated to the vendor for resolution.
• Maintain records of all purchase requisitions, POs, invoices, and payments.
• Store documentation in the ERP or other procurement systems for auditing and reference.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies, local laws, and regulations.
• Avoid conflicts of interest, ensure transparency in dealings with vendors, and promote ethical procurement practices.
• Purchase with petty cash provided and submit recap as required.
Qualification:
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in same position.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Have driving license A.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Working Hours
08.30 AM to 17.30 PM, 5 days a week.
