Job Description:
Develop biodiversity conservation strategies and conduct ecosystem restoration programs to increase biodiversity values
Developing a biodiversity management system in order to protect RTE species and their habitat to support the PROPER program
Improve habitats program and tree species inline with restoration program
Carry out habitat development programs through forest restoration activities using priority plant species and other local plant species
Ensuring management of wild animals and key protected animals is running and monitoring 3 key species (minimum population, distribution, monitoring of illegal activities within the concession
Developing and implementing BMP in mitigating Human and Animal Conflict (KMS) in operational areas
Develop and maintain a database of results of identification of biodiversity based on calculation methods with an approach to ecological principles
Coordinate between sections/sections and with external parties for the implementation of biodiversity management, restoration, HCV and HCS management programs
Develop intervention programs to improve protected wildlife and tree populations, as well as prepare data and information related to ecosystem restoration activities by other departments
Collaborate with NGOs, government and research institutions in implementing best practices for biodiversity and ecosystem management
Develop and update HCV-HCS management documents based on expert review results
Representing the company in discussions, seminars, regional, national and international meetings related to ecosystem restoration
Job Requirements:
Minimum education: S1 degree with experience in the field of ecology, SDH conservation.
Preference will be given to graduates from the fields of Forestry, Biology, Environmental Engineering
Minimum 10 years experience in biodiversity and ecosystem management
Extensive HCV VCS field experience
Understand the concept of Ecology and Ecosystem
Have knowledge protected animals and rare trees
Demonstrated ability to strategically manage large and complex projects, direct and coordinate work of project teams and make management and budgetary decisions
Good written and Verbal communication in Bahasa and English
