· Ensures the department can adequately contribute to the attainment of the company’s objectives by effectively and efficiently executing finance and accounting systems and principles.
· Assists management in its decisions affecting operations by providing accurate and timely financial information and reports.
· Ensures the proper and timely preparation of reporting requirements.
· Monitors the preparation of Delivery Receipts and Sales Invoices.
· Reviews and approves vouchers.· Reviews and approves management and government reports.
· Liaises with the External auditors and other parties concerned.
· Coordinates with the other departments concerned regarding receipt and disbursement concerns.
· Prepares reports as required by management.
· Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition
· Monitoring cash and investment balances and performing cash flow forecasting.
· Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· Assists the Management in developing and monitoring departmental, project, and organizational budget needs.
· Performing fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
· Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology, including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software.
· Managing select administration activities, such as state unemployment and income tax registrations.
