Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close process, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration, monthly account reconciliations, and audit readiness.
The Senior Accountant will work cross-functionally with global teams to ensure adherence to deadlines and compliance with accounting policies and procedures while supporting external audit requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience with multi-entity consolidations and month-end close activities, and a proactive approach to financial analysis and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform monthly consolidation of financial results across multiple entities and currencies.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Ensure intercompany eliminations are accurate, reconciled, and properly documented.
- Support the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Monitor international teams to ensure monthly account reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as a point of contact for international accounting teams, ensuring timely communication and resolution of reconciliation or close-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior-level accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
Preferred
- Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multinational environment.
- Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm.
- Prior involvement in external audit engagements from the client side.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and hold cross-functional teams accountable.
