Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure Data Factory, SQL, and
ETL/ELT pipeline development
Qualifications:
• Hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines across Azure Data
Lake, Synapse, and Databricks
• Proven ability to design end-to-end data pipelines using modern
architectures (raw, staging, data mart layers)
• Experience implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 2) for
historical data tracking
• Strong capabilities in data modelling including fact and dimension design,
data warehousing, and schema optimisation
• Proficient in SQL development including stored procedures, query
optimisation, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience integrating multiple data sources including APIs, Salesforce,
CSV, and enterprise applications
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks (PySpark) for data transformation and
preparation
• Experience implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
for scalable analytics platforms
• Strong exposure to cloud-based data ecosystems including Snowflake,
Azure SQL, and Synapse Analytics
• Built reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, including
dashboard development and DAX optimisation
• Experience in pipeline monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance
optimisation to improve reliability and reduce costs
• Familiar with CI/CD and deployment support using Azure DevOps
