Position: Accounting Manager
Objective
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Finance and Accounting Department, including Tax and Government Compliances. The role ensures timely and accurate submission of financial reports, supervises staff, and develops policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with senior management and external auditors.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, with valid CPA license
- 3–5 years relevant experience in Financial Statements, Taxation, and Audit
- Experience in supervisory or managerial roles in accounting/finance
- Proficient in MS Office applications and accounting systems
- Willing to work 100% onsite – flexibility can be discussed
Salary Range
- ?60,000 – ?65,000 per month
- Adjustment to ?70,000 after 6 months probationary period
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
- Manage cash flow, banking requirements, and cash forecasts for budgeting purposes
- Oversee company expenditures, payroll preparation, and service expense reviews
- Ensure compliance with bank requirements and government regulations (BIR, SEC, PSA, Insurance Commission)
- Supervise preparation of budgets, forecasts, and business activity reports
- Collaborate with department heads to support company goals and objectives
- Monitor and analyze department work to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Supervise and train accounting staff; handle personnel issues (conflicts, absenteeism, performance)
- Develop and implement new procedures to enhance workflow and internal controls
- Liaise with auditors for year-end financial audits and manage BIR audits
- Support the Controller and General Manager in policy creation, risk management, and special projects
