This is not a maintenance role. You won’t be inheriting an existing distribution network. You’ll be creating one for VERITES & GOOD PERFUME STUDIO. From first distributor meeting to products on shelves across Indonesia. If you’ve done this before and you’re ready to do it again with a perfume brand, keep reading.
Jobdesc:
Build offline distribution strategy from scratch — covering Modern Trade and General Trade; manage and develop relationships with them, and agent/reseller networks
Secure shelf space and negotiate retailer terms (beli putus and consignment)
Achieve sales targets and business objectives for assigned accounts.
Plan and execute trade promotions, listing, and in-store activities with key accounts.
Coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure smooth account operations.
Negotiate commercial terms, promotional support, and trading agreements.
Conduct regular store visits and audits to check planogram compliance and promotional setup.
Negotiate for additional display space and promotional placements to increase product visibility and sales.
Collect and analyze market intelligence including competitor activities, pricing, and consumer trends.
Implement trade marketing initiatives and in-store promotions effectively to drive sell-out.
Ensure proper execution of display, visibility, and merchandising in stores.
Regular field visits and distributor meetings across Jakarta and other cities
Design the offline pricing architecture: margin stacking from brand to distributor to retailer to consumer
Build and manage a reseller/agent program with tiered pricing and territory management
Design the operations system: inventory tracking, sell-through reporting, payment reconciliation, stock management
Report directly to the Founder/CEO with weekly and monthly distribution KPIs
Build Margin Price ladder for various supplier situations (order size, congignment / one-off purchase)
Ensure pricing strategy maximize net revenue for the company
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience handling Modern Trade, preferably in fragrance / personal care / beauty industry.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Able to coordinate cross-functional teams and lead sales / merchandising execution.
Ideally from an FMCG background or has worked within FMCG distribution infrastructure (GT/MT channels, distributor management)
Proven track record building offline distribution from scratch or significantly expanding offline presence for a D2C / e-commerce-first brand
Existing network of distributor and retailer relationships in Jabodetabek (this is critical — we will ask you to name them)
Deep understanding of Indonesian trade dynamics: GT vs MT terms, distributor margins, “beli putus” vs consignment
Comfortable working solo in a lean start up environment for the first 3 months, building toward your own team
Experience building own sales force / field reps team
Bahasa Indonesia native, English proficiency preferred
Have a private vehicle and an active driving license (C/A) as a requirement for work mobility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of merchandising software tools being an advantage.
Willing to work full Work From Office (WFO) arrangement at our Alam Sutera- Tangerang office
