Diana Eye Inspection System Operator

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor the Diana Eye Inspection System during production runs.

• Identify and analyze printing and packaging defects, including:

  • Color variation

  • Missing print

  • Emboss damage

  • Cut register shifts

  • Foil defects

  • Print misregistration

• Set up inspection parameters and optimize machine performance based on production requirements.

• Ensure cameras, sensors, and lighting systems are properly calibrated for accurate defect detection.

• Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Post-Press teams to resolve quality issues.

• Maintain inspection records, production data, and defect reports.

• Assist with troubleshooting activities and continuous process improvement projects.

What We're Looking For

Educational Background

Diploma or Technical Certificate in:

• Graphic Arts

• Printing Technology

• Prepress

• Packaging Technology

• Related Technical Fields

Technical Knowledge

Prepress & Print Fundamentals (Highly Preferred)

You should have a good understanding of:

• RGB and CMYK color systems

• Color variation and color consistency

• Dot gain concepts

• Artwork positioning and alignment

• Registration principles

• Image resolution and pixel concepts

• Quality tolerances in printing

Experience with Photoshop or other prepress software is an advantage, especially if you're familiar with:

• Layers

• Image zones

• Color value comparison

• Defect analysis and image inspection

Printing Knowledge (Preferred)

Experience or exposure to:

• Sheetfed feeder setup

• Blank alignment

• Suction and feeding adjustment

• Side lay settings

• Skew correction

• Registration adjustment

Understanding of printing processes such as Offset, Gravure, Flexographic, or Post-Press operations will be highly valued.

Quality-Focused Mindset

Successful candidates are:

• Highly detail-oriented

• Able to maintain strong concentration during inspections

• Comfortable identifying very small printing defects

• Disciplined in following SOPs and quality standards

• Willing to work in shift-based operations

Preferred Experience

Experience with vision inspection systems such as:

• Diana Eye

• AVT

• BST

• EyeC

• Other automated inspection systems

Previous experience in the printing, packaging, or tobacco manufacturing industry is an advantage.
