The Mechanical Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling the execution schedule of maintenance activities in a cement plant. The role ensures that all maintenance work orders are properly sequenced, planned within available resources, and executed in a timely manner to support plant reliability and operational efficiency. This position focuses on scheduling coordination between maintenance, operation, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimal equipment downtime.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly maintenance execution schedules based on approved work orders.
- Coordinate scheduling activities with maintenance, production, electrical, and engineering teams.
- Ensure proper sequencing of maintenance activities to avoid conflicts and optimize plant downtime.
- Monitor and track maintenance job progress, backlog, and completion status.
- Align maintenance schedules with production availability and operational requirements.
- Assist in shutdown/turnaround planning and execution scheduling.
- Ensure availability and coordination of manpower, equipment, and resources based on schedule requirements.
- Communicate schedule updates, changes, and priorities to all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify scheduling conflicts and support resolution with related departments.
- Ensure all scheduling activities comply with HSE standards and company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement in maintenance scheduling efficiency and plant reliability.
