Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Superintendent to drive continuous improvement initiatives across our mining operations. This role is responsible for optimizing end-to-end mining supply chain processes, coordinating Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and cargo readiness, improving operational performance, and delivering sustainable cost efficiency to achieve Lean Process and Cost Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Cargo Readiness to ensure a lean supply chain and on-time delivery.
Evaluate end-to-end business processes to improve operational effectiveness, cost competitiveness, and reporting systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Initiate and lead cost control and cost-saving programs across the organization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
Develop and execute short-term and long-term operational excellence improvement roadmaps.
Monitor improvement projects to ensure measurable operational and financial benefits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in the mining industry.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Operation Controller, Continuous Improvement, or a similar role within an IUP Owner mining company or a consulting firm (e.g. Accenture, DSS+, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of the end-to-end mining supply chain, from Pit to Vessel.
Solid knowledge of mining cost structures and operational costing.
Experienced in conducting regular site visits and collaborating with project and operational teams.
Strong understanding of Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
