About the role
We are a Holding Company in the process of establishing a new subsidiary within the Maritime Business. Reporting directly to the management team, The Vessel Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Company's fleet through effective maintenance management, crew administration, and regulatory compliance. This full-time position is based in South Jakarta, Jakarta.
What you'll be doing
Oversee vessel maintenance, repair, and dry-docking activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory, flag state, class, and company requirements.
Manage Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with Classification Societies, flag administrations, and insurance providers.
Monitor vessel performance, technical condition, and operational efficiency.
Perform PMS administration, including maintenance scheduling, technical record keeping, and spare parts inventory control.
Supervise crew management, certification, and training requirements.
Prepare maintenance budgets and control technical expenditures.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where required.
What we're looking for
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is a must.
Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel management or marine operations.
Strong knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and international & Indonesia maritime regulations.
Experience managing dry-docking and vessel maintenance programs.
Familiarity with classification and insurance requirements.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of Hull & Machinery (H&M) insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant marine insurance practices.
