Head of HR
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager / Head of HR to build and manage the company’s HR system in Indonesia. This role will support business growth by managing daily HR operations, improving internal processes, ensuring payroll accuracy, and maintaining compliance with local labor regulations.
The ideal candidate should be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia, familiar with Indonesia HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR System & Process Building
Build and improve the company’s HR management system in Indonesia.
Use Lark to set up and optimize internal workflows, including approval process, attendance management, leave management, employee database, document management, and HR reporting.
Standardize HR policies, procedures, templates, and internal communication processes.
2. Payroll & Compensation Management
Manage monthly payroll calculation accurately and on time.
Handle salary, overtime, allowance, bonus, THR, leave deduction, tax, BPJS, and other local compensation items.
Ensure payroll data is accurate, traceable, and compliant with company policy and local regulations.
3. Labor Law & Compliance
Ensure the company’s employment contracts, HR policies, payroll practices, employee management, termination process, and disciplinary actions comply with Indonesia labor law.
Provide professional HR advice to management on local employment regulations and compliance risks.
Keep the company updated on changes in local labor law and HR-related regulations.
4. HR Operations & Business Support
Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance, performance management, and offboarding.
Support managers in team management, employee communication, and organizational development.
Key Requirements
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia; English is a plus.
Proven experience as HR Manager, HRBP, HR Supervisor, or Head of HR in Indonesia.
Strong hands-on experience in payroll calculation and compensation management.
Familiar with Indonesia labor law, employment contracts, BPJS, THR, tax-related HR matters, and termination procedures.
Able to use Lark to build internal company systems and HR workflows.
Practical, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in multinational companies, electronics, distribution, retail, or trading industries is preferred.
Able to build HR systems from 0 to 1.
Strong execution ability, not only strategy discussion but also hands-on daily HR operation.
