About the Role
To manage the day-to-day legal operational functions of SCN Group of Companies, ensuring legal integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal support across the organization.
The Legal Specialist will lead the SCN Group's legal function by providing corporate and commercial legal support, overseeing corporate secretarial and governance matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting corporate actions and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Legal Support
Provide first level legal support for SCN/CPPI/CMC
Assist in addressing day-to-day legal queries with practical and business-oriented solutions
Escalate complex or high-risk issues to Vallourec Indonesia Senior Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Provide ad-hoc legal support required as instructed by Vallourec Indonesia Senior Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary e.g. corporate action, etc.
Contract & Document Management
Draft, review, and revise contracts and legal documents
Track contract expirations and coordinate renewals.
Maintain organized legal records and templates.
Corporate Governance Administration
Prepare, organize and file documentation for AGMs and EGMs.
Liaise with notaries and regulatory bodies for corporate filings.
Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and disclosures.
Regulatory Compliance Execution
Monitor validity of permits, licenses, and certifications.
Coordinate renewals and liaise with government agencies.
Maintain compliance logs and audit-ready documentation.
Claims and Litigation Management
Oversee legal claims and disputes involving the company.
Coordinate with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate case documentation and status tracking.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law.
Indonesian.
Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience gained in a law firm, notary office, or corporate legal department.
Proven experience in handling legal documentation, licensing, and government-related regulatory matters.

Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance, preferably within the logistics and port industry.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Capable to draft legal documents and negotiate contract.
Independent self-starter, proactive and resourceful – able to suggest initiatives.
Reliable, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment.
Courage to speak up - not shy to raise questions or concerns.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and able to work calmly under pressure.
Teachable/Eager to learn, able to quickly adapt and embrace challenges and take constructive feedback positively.
