Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts according to the maintenance schedule.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, transmission, steering, and brake system issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify defects and recommend necessary repairs.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged components, including engines, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, forks, masts, and tires.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify equipment faults.
- Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, filter replacements, and battery maintenance.
- Test forklifts after repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and job orders accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when necessary.
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding equipment status and maintenance requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Automotive Technology, Automotive Servicing, Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related vocational/technical course.
- TESDA Automotive Servicing NC II or Heavy Equipment Servicing NC II is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in forklift maintenance and repair or related heavy equipment servicing.
- Knowledge of diesel, gasoline, and LPG-powered forklifts.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, service diagrams, and parts catalogs.
- Valid driver's license is an advantage.
- Willing to work overtime, shifting schedules, and field assignments when required.
