Job Summary:
A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering goods, packages, or food to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. They ensure accurate deliveries, maintain vehicle safety, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver orders to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and handle products carefully.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Verify delivery information and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and reports.
- Inspect vehicles regularly and report maintenance issues.
- Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate with dispatchers, managers, and customers regarding delivery status.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related issues professionally.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry packages (typically up to 50 lbs/23 kg).
- Good navigation and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with GPS and route-planning applications.
