This role is responsible for leading the organization's cloud strategy, operations, architecture, security, governance, and team management to ensure a secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environment that supports business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the organization's cloud strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance.
Ensure cloud services are highly available, reliable, secure, and meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Oversee cloud operations, including monitoring, incident, problem, change, capacity, performance, backup, and disaster recovery management.
Review and guide cloud architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient while promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to maintain cloud security controls, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
Manage cloud governance and financial operations (FinOps), including resource utilization, cost optimization, budget control, and cloud resource ownership.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cloud providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while overseeing vendor performance and providing regular management reports.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Cloud Engineering team by setting priorities, managing workloads, evaluating performance, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented culture.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Computing, including 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience in cloud architecture, operations, governance, and cloud security.
Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
Knowledge of ITIL, disaster recovery, cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and vendor management.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, ITIL, or FinOps) are an advantage
