Senior iOS Developer (AI-first B2C Product / Stealth Startup)

About the Project

Chrona, in partnership with Social Discovery Group (a global social entertainment powerhouse recognized by FlexJobs as a Top 5 remote company), is looking for a Senior iOS Developer.

You will join a high-growth, AI-first B2C stealth startup operating within the social ecosystem. The product is already live, actively scaling, and addresses the global challenges of loneliness and human connection. It serves millions of users worldwide but currently operates under NDA (not yet publicly associated with the main brand).

Team Dynamics & Autonomy

The mobile development team is highly autonomous and compact, consisting of 1 iOS Developer, 1 Android Developer, 2 Backend Developers, and 2 QA Engineers.

There is no Mobile Team Lead or micro-management. Tasks come directly from Product Managers and senior stakeholders. We expect you to act as a fully independent engineering unit, capable of making architectural decisions, designing features, and managing end-to-end task decomposition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & System Design: Design and discuss robust architectural solutions using SOLID principles and Clean Architecture; handle high-level feature decomposition.
• Feature Development: Extend existing functionality, integrate new features, and write clean, scalable, and highly optimized code.
• Heavy UI & Performance: Build and optimize complex, custom layouts, animations, real-time updates, and heavy media components (video/audio/images).
• AI Integration: Work closely with ML/UI integrations to deliver next-gen AI-driven user experiences.
• Production Health: Monitor system health and diagnose production issues using logs, metrics, and traces.

Requirements (Strict Filtering Criteria):

• Education:A University Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field is strictly mandatory. (Graduates from top-tier technical universities are highly preferred).
• Experience:5+ years of commercial iOS development experience. Priority is given to candidates with a background in Big Tech (e.g., Yandex, Sber, T-Bank) or top-tier B2C startups handling millions of active users.
• Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, RxSwift, and UIKit.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous programming, high-load systems, and custom UI components (layouts, shaders, complex animations).
• Soft Skills: Highly proactive, self-driven, with exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team (Product, Design, QA, Backend).
• Compliance: Located in EU or Georgia (candidates residing in RU/BY are not considered due to compliance restrictions). Willingness to work in the CET timezone.
