iOS Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an iOS Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve our mobile application, ensuring a smooth, stable, secure, and user friendly experience for users. This role will be involved in building new features, improving app performance, solving foundational technical issues, and collaborating closely with Product, Backend, QA, UI/UX, and regional technology teams to support business growth and product reliability in the fintech industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build intuitive and reliable iOS features to improve the experience for mobile application users.

2. Develop, maintain, and enhance the company’s iOS application using Swift and related iOS technologies.

3. Improve the mobile codebase by working on foundational issues, refactoring, and supporting architecture improvement when necessary.

4. Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and other cross functional teams to design and deliver thoughtful new features.

5. Translate product requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

6. Integrate mobile applications with APIs and backend services to ensure smooth system performance.

7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure stability, performance, security, and user experience.

8. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

9. Support the application release process, including testing, deployment, App Store submission, and post release monitoring.

10. Ensure mobile application development follows relevant security, privacy, and compliance standards, especially within the fintech environment.

11. Collaborate with regional teams when needed for technical alignment, product improvement, and system integration.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.

2. Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in iOS application development.

3. Strong engineering skills and solid software development fundamentals, especially in native iOS development.

4. Hands on experience with Swift. Experience with Objective C is a plus.

5. Good understanding of iOS SDK, mobile application architecture, API integration, and app performance optimization.

6. Experience working with native mobile codebases with significant complexity.

7. Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, Git, and standard software development workflow.

8. Passion for building reliable, user friendly, and clean mobile application interfaces.

9. Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

10. Fluent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in fintech, lending, banking, payment, or other financial technology products.

2. Experience working with high traffic mobile applications.

3. Familiarity with security practices in mobile application development.

4. Experience with Objective C is a plus.

5. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus.

6. Experience working with regional or global engineering teams is a plus.
