Location: Remote (Brisbane)

EHS Support is seeking an accomplished Principal / Senior Principal Environmental Scientist (Contaminated Land) to join and help lead our Brisbane practice. This is a senior seller-doer leadership role for an individual with a strong market presence, a proven business development track record, and the technical credibility to win and deliver complex environmental projects. You will work closely with senior leaders across the Australian and international business to drive growth in Queensland and nationally. While business development and client leadership are central to the role, this position also maintains a hands-on technical component, supported by an established team of experienced professionals. This role offers a clear pathway to equity/shareholding, along with genuine autonomy to shape your portfolio, team and regional growth strategy. We welcome applications from both individual leaders and established teams seeking a new platform to grow. With strong market demand and projected growth, this role provides the opportunity to help shape the future direction of our company.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you will combine business development leadership with hands-on technical delivery, supported by an established team of experienced practitioners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Originate and secure new work through a proven seller-doer approach, driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Lead and grow client relationships across industrial, government and resources sectors
  • Lead and deliver complex contaminated land projects, including high-risk, high-profile technical engagements such as auditing and expert witness work
  • Provide strategic environmental advice on regulatory policy, compliance frameworks, assurance and remediation strategy
  • Mentor, develop and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and technical excellence
  • Contribute to company strategy, future planning and regional growth initiatives across Australia and internationally

About you

You are a commercially astute environmental professional with technical credibility and a strong market reputation. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and delivery levels and thrive in roles where growth, leadership and technical excellence intersect.

Key attributes include:

  • Approximately 20–25 years’ experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on contaminated land
  • Demonstrated seller-doer success, with measurable business development and revenue growth outcomes
  • Recognized leadership capability, including delegation, team development and practice growth
  • Technical expertise across contaminated land remediation, regulatory compliance, EMS and environmental assurance
  • Strong client engagement skills and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in shaping culture and long-term business growth

Compensation and Incentives

A highly competitive and flexible remuneration structure will be offered, tailored to experience and growth contribution. In addition to base salary and superannuation, this will include:

· Annual performance bonus

· Signing and retention incentives

· Revenue share arrangements

  • “Growth Accelerator” bonus linked directly to practice or client base expansion
  • Clear, fast-track pathway to equity/shareholding in the global EHS Support business

Professional growth and support

We provide practical support and incentives aligned with long-term leadership and growth, including:

  • Paid professional memberships (EIANZ, ALGA, Engineers Australia)

• Training & development allowances

• Clear equity/shareholding path

Bring-Your-Team Option: We welcome applications from established leaders seeking to transition with staff and clients. Financial incentives and/or additional equity may be available for team-based moves.

Why EHS Support

This is more than a senior consulting role — it is a leadership platform. You will have:

  • The autonomy to grow your own portfolio and team, supported by established national and global business infrastructure
  • A seat at the table in shaping company strategy and regional growth.
  • Opportunities to work on complex, high-profile projects across Australia and internationally
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that values ownership, initiative and long-term sustainability

EHS Support is a growing international consultancy with ambitious plans. This role offers a rare opportunity to directly influence both business growth and organizational culture while mentoring the next generation of environmental leaders.
