About the role

We are seeking a Spare Part Planner - Staff to join our warehouse, storage and distribution operations in Karawang Timur, Jawa Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our spare parts inventory management and supply chain operations. As a Spare Part Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely availability of spare parts to meet customer and operational requirements. This role is strategically important to our logistics and distribution network, directly impacting our ability to serve customers efficiently and maintain operational continuity.


Key responsibilities

  • Analyse historical sales data and market trends to forecast spare parts demand accurately

  • Develop and maintain inventory plans that balance stock availability with cost optimisation

  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items to minimise carrying costs

  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations

  • Create and update spare parts procurement schedules based on demand forecasts and lead times

  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, stockout rates, and fill rates

  • Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management regarding inventory performance and process improvements

  • Manage supplier relationships and communicate inventory requirements to ensure timely delivery

  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to optimise storage space utilisation and improve material handling efficiency

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and recommend enhancements to planning processes


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in spare parts planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demand forecasting and inventory analysis

  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and logistics operations

  • Ability to work with large datasets and generate meaningful insights from data

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple planning tasks simultaneously

  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field

  • Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal)

  • Knowledge of the automotive or two-wheeler industry is highly desirable
