About the role

PT Thermax International Indonesia is seeking a Service Engineer – Commissioning Division to join our growing team in Jakarta Selatan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, commissioning, and operational handover of our thermal engineering solutions to clients. As a Service Engineer in the Commissioning Division, you will be responsible for bringing our cutting-edge equipment to life on-site, working directly with clients to ensure systems operate at peak performance and meet all technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Conduct on-site commissioning activities for thermal and engineering systems, including installation verification, testing, and performance optimisation
  2. Perform system inspections and quality checks to ensure equipment meets design specifications and operational requirements
  3. Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the engineering and operations teams
  4. Train client personnel on system operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
  5. Document all commissioning activities, test results, and handover procedures in comprehensive technical reports
  6. Collaborate with project managers and design engineers to ensure commissioning schedules are met and project objectives are achieved
  7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members during field activities
  8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all commissioning work
  9. Maintain accurate records of equipment performance data and client feedback for continuous improvement


What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commissioning, installation, or field service engineering roles within the thermal, HVAC, or industrial equipment sector
  3. Strong technical knowledge of thermal systems, heat exchangers, boilers, cooling systems, or related equipment
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and equipment manuals
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Competence in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment commonly used in commissioning activities
  7. Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
  8. Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
  9. Valid driver's licence and reliability in meeting project timelines
  10. Preferred: Experience with industrial boiler systems, cooling towers, or process heating equipment; Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems; Certification in relevant technical areas or safety protocols
