Butcher
Job Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat products according to company standards.
- Portion and package meat accurately for retail or wholesale distribution.
- Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and proper handling.
- Operate and maintain meat processing equipment and tools safely.
- Display and arrange meat products in an organized and appealing manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and tools.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damaged products.
- Receive, store, and rotate meat products using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Assist customers by providing product recommendations and preparing custom meat cuts upon request.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or vocational graduate.
- Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter is an advantage.
- Knowledge of different meat cuts, trimming, deboning, and meat preparation techniques.
- Familiar with food safety, sanitation, and proper meat handling procedures.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
- Able to work in a cold storage environment.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and hardworking.
- Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts if needed.
