About the role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Purchasing Staff to join our team at PT Samick Indonesia, a leading manufacturing and logistics company based in Cileungsi, West Java. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in our procurement and inventory management operations, contributing to the overall success of our business.
What you'll be doing
Researching, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers to meet our production and operational needs
Negotiating favorable terms and prices with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement-related documentation
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and identifying potential shortages
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with production and distribution requirements
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the procurement function
Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical purchasing practices
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
Fluency in English is a must
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize procurement processes
Proficient in using procurement-related software and ERP systems
Thorough understanding of inventory management principles and best practices
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
