We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our primary education team. This is a contract position based in Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Raya. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and contributing to a positive, engaging learning environment for our students. You will work alongside experienced educators to facilitate effective teaching and learning, whilst providing essential administrative and pastoral support to enhance the educational experience of our pupils.
What you'll be doing
Assisting classroom teachers with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and educational resources
Supporting individual or small groups of students with their learning activities under teacher supervision
Helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised classroom environment
Assisting with classroom administration, including recording attendance and maintaining student records
Supporting students with personal care needs, including helping with clothing and toileting as appropriate
Assisting with the supervision of students during transitions, mealtimes and outdoor play
Supporting the implementation of school policies and procedures
Liaising with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing when directed by the teacher
Contributing to a positive school culture that promotes inclusivity, respect and collaboration
What we're looking for
A minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
Prior experience working with children in an educational or care setting is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
A patient, nurturing and positive approach to working with young learners
The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
A commitment to safeguarding, child protection and duty of care
Physical ability to support and assist children as required
Flexibility and adaptability in response to the changing needs of the classroom
Reliability and consistent attendance
