Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical and safety issues
- Diagnose problem using testing equipment and diagnose tools
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, brakes, transmission, suspensions, steering, and exhaust systems.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter equipment, tire rotation and fluid checks.
- Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure problem have been resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and maintenance performed.
- Keep work area clean and follow workplace procedures.
- Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance to supervisors or customers.
Qualifications:
- NCII Certificate in Automotive
- With Experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technician is an advantage
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem solving and and trouble shooting skills
- Physically fit ab able to lift heavy vehicle parts
- Willingness to work overtime or respond to emergency repairs when needed.
