Data Scientist – Automation and Ecological Data Analysis (5165)

Bennett Aerospace Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, isseeking a highly motivateda Data Scientist to develop automation frameworks and analytical models that accelerate the interpretation of ecological field data within the Hydrogeomorphic (HGM) approach. The successful candidate will design, test, and implement algorithms that streamline functional assessments and ensure consistent outputs across geographic regions and mission areas.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and automated workflows to process field-collected ecological data.

• Build data pipelines and scripts in R, Python, or equivalent tools to support reproducible analysis.
• Ensure automation tools generate consistent, defensible outputs for wetland functional assessments.
• Conduct verification and validation using test datasets and iterative refinement.
• Deliver technical documentation, user guides, and reports to support tool deployment and peer review.

Position Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred).

• 5–10 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and automation workflows.
• Proficiency in R, Python, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Experience working with ecological, environmental, or engineering datasets preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to translate complex data into decision-support products.

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government Clearance if required.
• Background check
