Spray Dry Technologist

As a Spray Dry Technologist, you will be responsible for the procurement of raw materials to meet production demand and customers’ requirements, reviewing raw materials safety stock level and activeness, also to make sure that raw materials are procured cost efficiently from reliable supplier

You will be based in BSD, and you’ll directly report to Chemical Formulation Engineer, in this role you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for running Spray Dry Machine and all machinery necessary.

• Capable following production procedure and applying safety standards with the correct and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

• Responsible for making emulsion slurry which include accurate compounding of liquid and powder, capable of running particle size checking using microscope, and analyzing any changes during emulsion process.

• Responsible for making micron powder mix which include powder weighing, powder mixing, mesh filtration and packing process.

• Check and ensure required components are in temperature through the use of weighing scales and refrigeration.

• Work with the regional team to align our quality with regional quality

• Responsible for recording and reporting every Spray Dry activity.

• Responsible for managing and restocking all Raw Materials needed for Spray Dry process.

• Responsible for Retrieving, packing, storing, and recording all data regarding Spray Dry products (Micron).

• Responsible for cleaning the spray dryer machine, utensils, high shear machines, and surrounding areas.

• Responsible for all machinery maintenance and reporting.

• Continuously review and improve the production area housekeeping, ensuring that it is always organized and clean.

• Refer to SDS before carrying out compounding jobs.

• Capable to identify raw material and final products locations.

• Capable to perform correct identification of different chemical names.

• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in the production area.

Your required skills & competencies:

• Possess at least Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Technology or Vocational High School with work experience in spray drying and similar manufacturing industries.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply with internship, industrial attachment, final-year project, research experience, or laboratory experience involving spray drying technology is highly preferred. Experience operating, studying, researching, or utilizing spray dryers during academic studies will be considered a significant advantage.

• Have basic understanding of spray drying principles and powder processing.

• Have knowledge of food manufacturing processes is an advantage.

• Ability to interpret process data and follow standard operating procedures.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Confident working closely with technical experts, and diverse culture.
