JOB DESCRIPTION
- Debug existing code to fix defects in software
- Write Java code to improve existing software solutions, services, components, and interfaces
- Write software tests and unit tests to validate software solutions leveraging test-driven development techniques
- Design and create relational databases leveraging data management and data structures best practices
- Write Java code to implement new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces
- Build and deploy software packages using Continuous Integration and Continuous Development best practices for delivering software as a service
- Participate in architectural, design, and code reviews providing insight to other engineers and their solutions
- Leverage known design patterns to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces for MatrixCare family of products
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues leveraging software algorithm design best practices
- Leverage known secure programming principles to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces that meet industry and government standards for security and data protection
- Other (meetings, communication, documentation)
Skills and Experience preferred for the Senior Software Engineering position:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or software engineering
- 7+ years experience as a software engineer
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with database design and data migration techniques
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Development experience with Java and/or C#
- Experience developing enterprise software applications in an n-tier architecture
- Experience with SOAP and REST APIs
- Experience developing multi-threaded applications
Also great if you have experience with:
- Spring
- Experience with CI /CD systems
- Exposure to infrastructure solutions and deployment
- Good understanding of NoSQL and its data modeling
- Solid Exposure to distributed technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, ElasticSearch)
- Understanding of MDM and MQ technologies
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web
- Bootstrap 3/4, JSON
