About Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accountant & Book Keeper to join our team on a part-time basis. This remote work from home role is based in Bali, Indonesia and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our financial operations in a dynamic, growing organisation. As an Accountant & Book Keeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to supporting the financial health and integrity of our business operations.


Key responsibilities

  1. Recording and processing financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner

  2. Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring all entries are properly documented

  3. Reconciling bank statements and identifying and resolving any discrepancies

  4. Preparing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable

  5. Processing invoices, expense reports and other financial documentation

  6. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review

  7. Maintaining detailed and organised financial records in accordance with accounting principles

  8. Supporting month-end and year-end close procedures

  9. Assisting with payroll processing and employee-related financial matters where required

  10. Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements

  11. Supporting the management team with financial queries and administrative tasks


What we're looking for

  1. A recognised qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance (such as AAT, ACCA, or equivalent)

  2. Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper, ideally in a similar role or industry

  3. Strong proficiency with Xero Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel

  4. A thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  5. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail

  6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

  7. Professional communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

  8. Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and compliance requirements would be highly advantageous

  9. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity

  10. Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
