About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher Business, Economic, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math, Biology, Psychology, Media Studies, English, Chinese, Global Perspective Teacher (A/AS Level) to join our school at Singapore National Academy in Sidoarjo, East Java. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality education to advanced level students. You will play a crucial role in inspiring students minds to develop a deep understanding whilst preparing them for their A/AS Level examinations and beyond. This position is integral to our commitment to providing world-class secondary education in an international setting.
Key responsibilities
• Teach Cambridge International AS & A Level to secondary students
• Prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured lesson plans to Y9 - Y12 in developing individual
• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, collaborative research work, assignments, and papers
• Prepare course materials such as syllabus, lesson plan, homework assignments, and evaluation
• Compile, administer and grade practical research projects as a means of compiled assessment at Cambridge standard and expectations
• Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues and participating in professional conferences.
What we're looking for
• A strong degree in Business, Economic, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math, Biology, Psychology, Media Studies, English, Chinese, Global Perspective Teacher or a related scientific discipline
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) or demonstrated teaching credentials in Business, Economic, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math Teacher (A/AS) Level at secondary level
• Substantial experience teaching A Level or AS Level Business, Economic, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math, CIE exam minimum 5 years with proven success in helping students achieve strong examination results
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports students of varying abilities
• Experience using relevant educational technology and learning management systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex Business, Economic, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math concepts clearly and engagingly to students
• A commitment to professional development and staying abreast of developments in each subject
• Experience in an international school setting or teaching overseas is advantageous
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing educational priorities and circumstances
