Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Mortgage Loan Closerto support our Texas branch operations.

In this role, you will manage the final stages of the loan process by auditing files, preparing precise closing documents, and ensuring full compliance with investor guidelines. If you are an efficient multi-tasker who excels at balancing fees, coordinating wires, and collaborating with external partners to ensure smooth, on-time fundings, we would love to have you join our team.

What you will do:

• Gather critical closing components, including Closing Protection Letters (CPL), wire instructions, title fees, verbal verifications of employment (VOE), and payoff requests.

• Review title commitments and all regulatory loan file documents to guarantee absolute accuracy prior to closing.

• Order, prepare, and deliver closing packages efficiently, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory timelines and scheduled closing dates.

• Input, review, and reconcile final closing and settlement fees against vendor invoices.

• Distribute preliminary and final closing packages to settlement agents and Loan Originators.

• Prepare and submit wire/funding requests to warehouse banks or investors, audit executed closing packages, and officially authorize the release of loan proceeds.

• Resolve any post-closing trailing items swiftly to ensure the seamless sale of the loan on the secondary market.

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of dedicated mortgage closing or related mortgage banking experience.

• Current or recent experience closing Texas mortgage loans. work-from-home

• Solid understanding of mortgage loan programs, documents, lending processes, and industry compliance/regulations.

• Functional knowledge of Encompass and document preparation vendor software.

• Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while meeting tight deadlines.

• Strong history of building trust and managing relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners.
