Tunas Industrial Estate is seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to ensure all business operations comply with Indonesian environmental regulations and company sustainability standards. The successful candidate will oversee environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, permit management, waste management programs, and environmental compliance initiatives while working closely with internal departments and government authorities.


Responsibilities

- Ensure company operations comply with Indonesian environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.

- Monitor environmental compliance related to air emissions, wastewater discharge, hazardous waste (B3), and solid waste management.

- Prepare and submit environmental reports to relevant government agencies.

- Manage environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation.

- Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.

- Monitor environmental performance indicators and recommend improvement initiatives.

- Support the implementation of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).

- Coordinate environmental monitoring programs, including water, wastewater, air quality, and noise monitoring.

- Manage hazardous waste (B3) storage, transportation, and disposal in accordance with regulations.

- Conduct environmental risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Provide environmental awareness training for employees and contractors.

- Coordinate with HSE, Utility, Facility, Engineering, and external stakeholders on environmental compliance matters.

- Support sustainability, ESG, and environmental improvement programs.

- Maintain accurate environmental records and compliance documentation.


Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum **3 years** of experience in Environmental Compliance, Environmental Management, or HSE.

- Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations, including:

  - Environmental Protection & Management

  - AMDAL / UKL-UPL

  - Hazardous Waste (B3) Management

  - Wastewater Management

  - Air Emission Control

  - Environmental Permitting

- Experience preparing environmental reports for government authorities.

- Familiar with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Willing to be based in Batam.


Preferred Qualifications

- Certified Environmental Management or Environmental Auditor is an advantage.

- Experience working in industrial estates, manufacturing companies, or infrastructure projects.

- Familiar with PROPER assessment and environmental compliance audits.

- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability reporting is a plus.

- Experience coordinating with the Ministry of Environment (KLH) and local government agencies.
