Intermediate Graphic Designer – Packaging & Brand Design

About the Role

Lanocorp NZ Ltd is a Rolleston based manufacturer with genuine global reach. We produce high-quality skincare and consumer products for markets across NZ, Australia, the US, Europe, and the UK. Backed by US-owned Elevated Beauty Group, we combine the energy of a Kiwi operation with the resources of a larger global player.

Our creative marketing and design team of seven builds bold, beautiful packaging and brand experiences for an exciting portfolio of brands. On the Lanocorp side, that means By Nature, Lanocrème, and Goodness. On the EBG side, you’ll be working across their US brand portfolio; Simply Organic Beauty, Blue Cross, Blossom, Seven, Mented, and Beauty Bakerie. Your time will be split roughly 50/50 between the two, giving you genuine variety across categories, consumers, and markets.

We’re looking for an Intermediate Graphic Designer who’s ready to do meaningful work; packaging that gets stocked, designs that connect with consumers, and brand experiences that hold up globally.

What You’ll Do

•       Develop packaging concepts that are both creatively compelling and commercially grounded. We need work that looks great and sells

•       Create 3D renderings and on-shelf visualisations using Pacdora so brand leaders can see ideas come to life

•       Produce finished artwork and print-ready files to the technical standards our production team needs

•       Write on pack copy and brand messaging that speaks to consumers and meets regulatory requirements

•       Work with AI design tools (Firefly, Midjourney, Generative Fill) to accelerate your process and push ideas further

•       Split your time equally across Lanocorp and EBG brand work, with mentorship and creative direction from our Design Manager throughout

•       Collaborate with marketing and digital to keep brand experiences consistent across channels

•       Track time across brands and projects to help leadership understand where effort is going

What We’re Looking For

•       5+ years of packaging and creative design experience in beauty, personal care, FMCG, or consumer goods. You understand what works on shelf

•       Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

•       Experience with 3D visualisation software such as Pacdora

•       A solid grasp of packaging design principles, typography, colour theory, and brand compliance

•       Experience with AI design tools, or genuine enthusiasm to learn them

•       A portfolio with range: strong concepts, design variety, and finished work that’s technically excellent

•       Clear communication. You can explain your design decisions and take feedback well

•       Commercial awareness of retail environments, consumer behaviour, and the role design plays in driving results
