Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and procuring goods, materials, and services from approved suppliers.
- Process purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update records of suppliers, purchase orders, invoices, and inventory transactions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager.
- Evaluate supplier performance and help maintain an updated supplier database.
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed.
- Perform other related tasks or errands as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Vocational or Associate degree may be considered with relevant work experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Familiarity with inventory management, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, or relevant procurement software.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset for evaluating vendors and cost efficiency.
