We are seeking an experienced Commis Japanese. This position comes with service charge, free meals, and tips.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking Japanese dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards
- Assisting senior chefs in food preparation, including cutting, slicing and presenting ingredients
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your assigned workstation and kitchen areas
- Following food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the highest standards of food preparation
- Supporting the kitchen team during service, responding promptly to orders and requests
- Learning and applying proper Japanese cooking methods, seasonings and presentation techniques
- Assisting with stock management and inventory of ingredients used in Japanese cuisine
- Contributing ideas and enthusiasm to enhance the quality of dishes and guest experience
